POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to strengthen a busy accounting and reporting team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting, thrives in a structured environment, and brings the ability to manage both recurring reporting tasks and ad hoc projects. The role offers exposure to complex reconciliations, month-end processes, and collaboration with both finance leadership and auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPA designation, or actively working toward CPA completion
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting or reporting experience
• Experience overseeing a small team
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS) and internal controls
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with large datasets
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) is a must
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support monthly and quarterly close by analyzing variances and resolving discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries related to payroll, benefits, and other accruals
• Draft financial reporting schedules and assist with disclosure notes
• Monitor internal controls and contribute to risk and compliance initiatives
• Respond to auditor requests and provide supporting documentation
• Mentor junior team members and assist with technical problem-solving
• Participate in process improvement projects to drive efficiency and consistency
• Assist with special projects and financial analysis as directed by leadership
