Description

SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, responsible for developing, maintaining, and providing consolidated financial reporting and analysis for all CLS entities. Responsible for determining the reason behind financial statement trends or changes in historical or current results. Regularly liaises with financial leaders of all entities within CLS to both obtain and provide information as necessary. Provides guidance on how to set up certain items within accounting systems in order to maintain reporting and data quality and leads special projects that require complex financial analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Consolidate monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner; prepare schedules for monthly financial packet and internal reporting purposes.
  • Creates and maintains financial forecast model based on operational metrics and key assumptions.
  • Provide analysis into financial statement trends; work with reporting entities on discrepancies.
  • Develops annual financial budget model for all CLS entities. Analyzes balance sheet account trends to ensure accurate forecasting and updates models if necessary.
  • Integrate acquired entities into CLS financial reporting upon the completion of an acquisition.
  • Support for the monthly financial reporting package distributed to Board. Package contains all financials, KPI’s, budget vs actuals, and various other metrics.
  • Prior to finalizing close, review detailed analysis files to determine if there are any anomalies that need to be explained or items that need to be reclassed in order to maintain consistent month to month financials. Completes analysis on any variances as necessary.
  • Leverage ERP systems and current tools to drive automation and efficiency into financial consolidations. Evaluate new software if relevant.
  • Reviews and/or completes bank compliance documents and analysis including but not limited to quarterly covenant, quarterly backlog, quarterly financials, and monthly borrowing base. Other items such as excess cash flow calculation and any other documents and communication with bank required as needed.
  • Maintains detailed tracking of all monthly EBITDA adjustments.
  • Works on complex analysis projects within the Accounting department as needed.
  • Provides guidance to Accounting teams on how to account for certain items based on knowledge of accounting systems and reporting needs to ensure reports and data are consistent and correct.
  • Support all financial audit and tax requests as needed.
  • Completes occasional data quality checks within Deltek to ensure reporting is accurate.
  • Creates ad-hoc reports or analysis based upon any requests from CFO, management, or the Board.
  • Maintains complete discretion with confidential matters.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (minimum and preferred requirements): To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree in finance, business, economics, or related analytical field from four-year college or university. Minimum 5 years of related experience required. Some supervisory experience preferred but not required. CPA Preferred.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices as well as the analysis and reporting of financial data. Balanced combination of strong financial skills, attention to detail, dedication to client service, and effective time management a necessity.
