Your new role

An opportunity has become available for an experienced finance professional to lead financial reporting, assurance and audit activities within a high-performing finance team.

As the Financial Reporting & Assurance Manager (EL1), you will:

• Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements
• Oversee financial controls, reconciliations and assurance activities
• Coordinate external audit requirements and ANAO engagement
• Review cash flow forecasts, journals and fixed asset reporting
• Prepare Audit & Risk Committee and executive reporting
• Provide technical accounting advice to senior stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement across financial frameworks and processes

The role is available in Canberra, Brisbane or Sydney.

What you'll need to succeed

Must be an Australian citizen with a baseline security clearance.

You'll bring:

• Experience preparing statutory financial statements
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and CBMS
• Experience working within Commonwealth or complex government environments
• Strong financial control, audit and assurance capability
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• The ability to lead, coach and develop staff
