This is a remote position. Financial Reporting & Compliance SpecialistSchedule: 20 hrs/week Work Schedule Mon–Thurs, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM MST About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled CPA to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions. Responsibilities: Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established financial standards and regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain financial databases, accounting software systems, and manual filing systems. Prepare and analyze budgets, comparing budgeted costs to actual costs, and identify variances. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses. Provide strategic financial recommendations based on financial analysis Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and compliant. Collaborate with management teams to provide data-driven financial insights and support decision-making. Stay updated with the latest financial and tax regulations and ensure the company’s practices comply with statutory requirements. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools. Excellent analytical and numerical abilities. High ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Highly Regarded Skills and Experience: Experience in financial accounting for international or country-specific clients. Advanced knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, MYOB, etc. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA). Familiarity with financial regulations and standards of specific countries or regions. Experience conducting internal and external audits.
