Job Summary Job Description The Accounting Clerk performs accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes and verifies transactions and journal entries. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, the Accounting Clerk may also process accounts payable and receivable transactions. Responsibilities: Prepare and process invoices, bills, and other financial documents Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports Perform administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with accounting software Additional Job Details Support & Production – S3 Organizational Impact • Works to deliver day-to-day objectives with direct impact on achievement of results for the team • Work consists of tasks that are occasionally not routine • Works independently under moderate supervision • May be required to apply discretion within broad operational boundaries and procedures Communication & Influence • Communicates with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information on matters of moderate importance to the team • Explains practices, procedures, and policies in order to reach agreement Innovation & Complexity • Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of team • May propose solutions to problems for manager review • Daily challenges are difficult but not complex, and may require some analysis to understand and resolve Leadership & Talent Management • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within team Knowledge & Experience • Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically obtained through work experience or education • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience.
