Get to Know Your Team: Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region’s Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. Responsibilities Verify eligibility and benefits for all IV Therapy patient services. Obtain or initiate authorizations. Work closely with providers to ensure procedures have been authorized or initiated. Provide a weekly in-house report by financial class of all large balances. Weekly meetings with the business office to review charity applications, denials, outstanding accounts, and provide insight to case review. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. PC experience with Excel. Demonstrated experience in dealing with insurance payors. Writing/editing skills necessary to produce appropriate documentation and communications. Must have an understanding of computers and applications. Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic medical records software. Possesses some coding/billing knowledge. Preferred Job Requirements: 3 to 6 years of billing experience.
