Position Description:
Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial.
Looking for licensed service driven employee to assist financial advisor with organizing the service side of office work flow. The role will perform practice management tasks such as trading, rebalancing, and money movement as directed by an advisor. This role also provides client relationship support through interacting directly with clients to ensure accurate account set up, and through acting as a liaison to answer client questions. Other ad hoc requests will come up on a regular basis such as coordinating or tracking certain projects or preparing financial planning recommendation reports.
This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Solution Strategy: Ability to understand product solution strategies to suitably address clients’ needs primarily as they relate to cash flow, money distribution and investment allocation. This person will need to understand how products interact in order to properly execute and document transactions and create compliant deliverables as needed.
  • Client Relationship Building: Involved in deepening client relationships through one-to-one interaction to include client phone calls and follow up. Ability to assure proper function of internal systems and processes is important.
  • Technology: Responsible for the effective use of available technology that supports the required business processes, helping build practice capacity, and enhancing the client experience.
  • Compliance Management: Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the business operations and records retention relative to compliance requirements.
  • Internal operations: Interacting with various corporate office departments and working with the team to facilitate timely execution of business and other client service issues while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Already have or be able to study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and NY State life, accident and health insurance license.
  • Has 2-3 years industry experience preferred.
  • Has a bachelor’s degree.
  • Is proficient in English and has polite and clear phone manner.
  • Is extremely attentive to detail and has excellent organizational, task, and time management skills.
  • Is able to self-teach when given appropriate resources.
  • Is proactive with problem-solving, and comfortable with spreadsheets, databases, and analytical software.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

  • Based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
