JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Financial Services boutique firm located in South East Calgary has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Services Administrator to join our team. We are looking for a career minded and detail-oriented individual with excellent mathematical, organizational and people skills to fill this full-time position.
The successful candidate will initially be trained to complete the paperwork, processing and follow up of transactions, preparing meeting agendas and handling of client requests. Providing assistance by attending client and prospective client meetings and helping create financial plans will be the natural progression for this position. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post secondary education is an asset
  • Basic understanding of Investment Accounts required (RRSPs, TFSAs, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required (Excel, Word)
  • Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset
  • Completion of the LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) is an asset
  • Strong skills in mathematics, communication, organization, time management and problem solving
  • Shows initiative with a high level of professionalism
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional customer service
  • Must be punctual, dependable, self-motivated, confident, presentable and have a good attitude
  • Comfortable making phone calls to existing clients and prospective clients
Responsibilities
  • Processing, monitoring and following up client financial transactions
  • Communicating with various financial institutions
  • Learning an industry client contact database program
  • Maintaining and updating confidential client information
  • Gathering and organizing client information to prepare meeting agendas
  • Assisting Financial Planners with general meeting preparation (eg. statements, investment paperwork)
  • Handling client service requests in person and on the telephone
  • Attending client meetings when required
  • Open to furthering industry education (paid for by employer)
