Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues across a broad range of areas to ensure policies and procedures align with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Structure, review, and provide legal guidance on a wide range of finance services offerings and transactions, including banking matters, capital markets, private equity, fund distribution, investment funds, lending, and loans.
  • Engage in the drafting, review, and negotiation of documents as needed, potentially including loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, fund documentation, security agreements, investment prospectuses, ISDA, derivatives, NDAs, etc.
  • Advising both on domestic and cross-border transactions including managing external counsel.
  • As needed, support the Board and Management Committees on a range of legal tasks and projects, including drafting internal policies, SLAs, and governance documents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 to 10 years of post-qualification legal experience gained in an in-house environment (directly, or as a law firm secondee), including experience within a bank or financial services institution.
  • Openness to part-time or full-time roles.
  • Strong academic credentials and post-qualification experience, ideally in a banking, asset management, private equity, or capital markets environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
  • Right to work in Switzerland and eligibility to practice as a lawyer in Switzerland.
  • Business proficient English, with additional fluency in German being highly desirable.
