Blue Star Ford Lincoln, located in beautiful Norfolk County (approximately 30 minutes South of Brantford) has an immediate opening for a Finance Specialist. We are searching for a highly organized, customer-driven individual, to join our dynamic dealership.
This role produces additional revenue for the dealership, by selling finance, insurance, and after-sale items, with knowledge and confidence. The ideal candidate will always follow a set process, and is willing to contribute with various tasks, to ensure the customer experience is second to none!

Duties and Responsibilities shall include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Striving to meet and exceed assigned sales goals
  • Selling financial, insurance and protection (i.e. extended warranties, financing and credit life, accident & health insurance plans, vehicle protection products: tint, etc., to new and used vehicle customers
  • Managing all rate quotations, insurance fees and financing
  • Forwarding documents to obtain approval on financing to the appropriate source
  • Working with Sales Managers to maximize profits on every sale
  • Establishing and maintaining good business relations, with several financing sources
  • Constantly source out new credit facilities, for competitive rates of interest and financial programs
  • Preparing appropriate delivery paperwork for vehicle preparation (i.e. rust proofing, fabric protection, accessory installation)
  • Verifying all documents for correct titles, taxes and lien information
  • Ensuring all information on the sale or lease contracts (taxes, signatures, vehicle description, etc.) is accurate
  • Handling and responding to post-delivery customer inquiries, such as warranty and loan payouts
  • Explaining the manufacturer’s and dealer’s policies, to customers in detail
  • Maintaining an adequate and current supply of all contracts and documents, required for the preparation and finalization of vehicle sales
  • Understanding and observing federal and provincial regulations, affecting the new car, previously owned vehicles and finance departments
  • Attending any and all required training, relating to this position
  • Demonstrating integrity in representing the dealership
  • Submitting deals to Accounting in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of accuracy, detail, and completion

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a financial role, preferably in a dealership or financial services setting
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform complex calculations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and establish long-term relationships
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
