Corning Credit Union is seeking a full-time Financial Services Representative to join our team in Shallotte, NC.

Role Summary: As a Financial Services Representative, within our Wilmington, NC branches, you will provide exceptional service, support, and education while assisting members in determining the best loan, deposit, and electronic services options for their individual needs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred, commensurate work experience will also be considered
  • A high school diploma or GED is required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior lending and membership experience is required

COMMUNICATION SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence
  • The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards
  • The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations
  • The ability to effectively communicate loan decisions and navigate sensitive situations

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain appropriate knowledge of core systems and CCU’s products and services
  • Able to seamlessly transition between assisting members with completing membership and loan applications in-person, over the phone, or electronically
  • Gather applicant information, review member loan requests, and analyze credit reports and other financial data
  • Make sound lending recommendations through effective interviewing and analysis
  • Suggest alternative loan options to members, when appropriate
  • Provide exceptional service and education to our members, explaining and promoting beneficial products and services to assist in meeting their vast financial needs
  • Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned
