Description Department: Finance Reports To: Payroll Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt TS Range: 8/9 ($29.20 hourly) DOQ Opening Date: October 10, 2025 Closing Date: October 24, 2025 SUMMARY: Performs specialized accounting work for the Tribe. This position is responsible for assisting in accounting areas including payroll, and general ledger. Assists the Payroll Manager in performing a variety of professional accounting, fiscal transactions, periodic reports, analysis, and auditing transactions. Positions in 1his class are considered professional working level accounting specialists. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. · Maintains a variety of financial ledgers, journals and records. Produce a variety of reports related to balance sheets, general ledger, and payroll. · Reviews, verifies, corrects, balances and summarizes data on a variety of financial ledgers, journals and records. Collects and verifies timesheets. · Prepare check requests as needed. · Maintain and update payroll records as needed. Investigate payroll discrepancies and resolve. · Assist in reconciling general ledger pertaining to payroll. Prepare and enter data into the accounting system. · Review transactions for accuracy and resolve any issues found. · Assist in ensuring payroll transactions and reports are done timely and current. Establishes and maintains files, records, and other information to meet specific needs. Reviews and analyzes financial data for trends or anomalies. · Operate equipment such as copier, computer, printer, typewriter, calculator and fax machine. · Other duties may be assigned. Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: MA OR Bachelor's Degree with major study in accounting or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 20 semester or 30 quarter hours in accounting and two years of professional accounting or auditing experience; OR Associate of Arts Degree with major study in accounting with a minimum of20 semester or 30 quarter hours in accounting and four years of professional accounting or auditing experience; OR High School graduation or GED and six years ofprofess10nal accounting experience providing 20 semester or 30 quarter hours of college-level accounting are achieved.
