The Division of Adult Institution is recruiting to fill a Financial Specialist position . This position is based out of Wisconsin Secure Program Facility in Boscobel, WI.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the maintenance of Person In Our Care (PIOC) accounts using the State of Wisconsin computerized trust system; post charges for canteen orders; auditing and the generation of individual statements to insure sufficient funds are available; maintenance of the PIOC and general ledger account and other accounts; the preparation of various financial reports, including the submission of routine monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; and the performance of miscellaneous duties.
Salary Information
The starting pay for this position is $22.31 per hour and includes a comprehensive state benefits package. This position is in pay schedule and range 02-11.
Pay on appointment for current or former state employees may vary according to the applicable provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Statutes and Administrative Code. A 12 month probationary period is required.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
