SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Financial Systems and Data Governance Specialist role will maintain financial system information by ensuring core data assets are accurate, consistent, and reliable across systems. The role will collaborate and coordinate across functions to implement controls and accurate data.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Understanding of GAAP with IFRS knowledge a plus.
  • Minimum 2+ years in financial role, business development, or accounting role.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-cultural and cross-functional team.
  • Independent, inquisitive and an initiative-taker.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, and Excel).
  • Understanding of business intelligence tool.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and retirement of master data records (customers, products, vendors).
  • Create proper separation of duties within the financial system.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification rules.
  • Identify and resolve data anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business teams to align data needs.
  • Train and support users on data entry best practices and tools
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly/year end close process and load results in HFM.
  • Understand company accounts and monthly activity utilizing accounting knowledge.
  • Maintain 1099 information and process 1099 forms.
  • Participate in annual financial audits by preparing audit materials.
  • Adhere to proper internal controls.
  • Prepare construction in progress and fixed asset schedules.
  • Participate and be an owner in the control narratives and process maps for finance.
  • Work with Corporate to provide support and analysis to questions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting processes, implement best practices, and identify efficiencies.
  • Support ad hoc projects and request as required.
  • Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
