LOCATION: Fargo, ND (preferred) or Grand Forks, ND, or Remote in North Dakota

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Systems, this position is responsible for providing functional expertise for the development, implementation, and support of the Financials system to support NDUS business objectives and provide training tools for campus users. This is primarily a business, not a technical, position, and focuses primarily on the Financials modules of Supplier Registration/Onboarding Supplier Contract Management and Assisting with 1099 reporting. This position serves as a backup for Banking, Accounts Payable, and SUA Payment functions and may be crossed trained in other modules based on need.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working in financials.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, fund (Gov’t) accounting, federal and state purchasing regulations, supply chain, uniform guidance, GASB, and GAAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve effectively.
  • Ability to provide and uphold excellent customer service standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with an established track record for functioning as a strong team member.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience working in a self-directed environment as well as collaboratively as part of a team
  • Must be able to travel in-state, on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which may include after business hours and weekends, on occasion.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education or state government.
  • Experience and/or expertise related to PeopleSoft Financials-AP/PO/Suppliers.
  • Experience developing training materials and delivering training content.
