Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Execution Assist in the development of a regional product strategy that aligns with corporate banking client needs and sector priorities (e.g. infrastructure, energy, real estate, manufacturing, TMT, industrial, consumer). 2. Origination & Structuring Actively originate structured and specialized lending opportunities across ASEAN and key client markets. FS helps to create bespoke financing solutions aligned to sector and corporate client strategies. Focus areas include project finance, acquisition finance, leveraged buyouts, commodity finance, loan syndication/club deals, and hybrid instruments. FS to maintain up-to-date insight into assigned client and sector trends to identify opportunities, anticipate asset quality risks, and design financing strategies. Work together with GAM / FAM / Sector Bankers / Syndication / Treasury / Capital Markets to originate and support end-to-end execution. Lead deal structuring efforts, including preparing term sheets, financial models, pitch materials, and client presentations. Key responsibilities include: o Validate and justify loan terms & conditions, with appropriate market benchmarking (where available) and legal positioning. o Validate and justify loan pricing, with appropriate market benchmarking (where available), risk/return profile, internal RAROC considerations. o Develop and sensitize financial models and cash flow projections to support the proposed loan structure. o Prepare and negotiate term sheets with customers. o Preclear proposals with Risk and other internal stakeholders. o Provide deal support to Credit Analysts including pre-clearance, pre-GCC, GCC, and other committees for all loan deals particularly on loan structure considerations. o Validate and justify rating methodology application for specific deals. Drive improvements to rating methodologies to ensure relevance and effectiveness for the business. 3. Stakeholder & Client Engagement Engage directly with clients to identify financing opportunities and deliver tailored solutions that create value. Work closely with Relationship Managers, Investment Banking, and Treasury to drive seamless execution and comprehensive client coverage. Initiate deal pre-clearance discussions with Risk and participate at credit committees forums as required. Working alongside Relationship Managers, Financing Solutions assists in a strategic pivot to a meaningful regional play. 4. Governance & Risk Management 1st Line of Defense in origination, focusing on loan structuring in line with internal credit policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards. Take a proactive approach to managing portfolio health and maintaining high standards in deal structuring to minimize risk exposure. 5. People & Team Development Self-motivated and proactive, with focus on collaborating with FS colleagues across the region. Support team development by sharing expertise and coaching across markets. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within FS teams and with key internal stakeholders, including GAMs / FAMs / Sector Bankers / Credit Analysts. Lead cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing on loan structuring and execution to enhance regional connectivity and performance. Required Competencies and Skills Basic Degree in relevant field Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate/wholesale banking with a strong track record in structured/specialized finance. Strong track record in originating and executing structured or specialized financing transactions. Deep sectoral knowledge in assigned sectors Strong analytical, credit, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Regional ASEAN market knowledge and cross-border financing experience preferred. Corporate loans and credit structuring skills Have relevant loan syndication networking contacts and resourceful in building and discovering new market contacts and opportunities Knowledge on standard market terms and syndication operating procedures in running syndication deals. Familiar with the APLMA networking platform. Effective interpersonal skills required in managing extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
