Discovery Fusion is a hybrid virtual BESE-authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the state of Louisiana through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. Discovery Fusion opened in August 2024, and will expand to grades 4th through 10th grade in the 2025-2026 school year.

Discovery Fusion is seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree teacher certified in Fine Arts and/or Art Education. Degrees/Certifications in Special Education, Gifted Instruction, Curriculum and Instruction, ESL, and/or Reading Specialist certification is a desirable credential. 2+ years of experience with middle and high school students in a school setting preferred. Knowledge of LEAP 2025 testing, ACT/SAT prep, and Louisiana State Standards preferred. This teacher will develop and teach a variety of arts-integrated, co-curricular courses to students in a hybrid virtual atmosphere. Training and workshops in the summer may be required. Fusion teachers will create virtual lessons from an on-campus office space. A strong candidate will have significant experience with online learning and various educational technology platforms.
