JOB SUMMARY:

Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts, and our Food and Beverage team is no exception to creating this experience of a lifetime. Assistant Managers are an integral part of restaurant operations responsible for assisting Restaurant Managers with daily operations promoting teamwork, quality, and safety to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma of equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40+ lbs
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must have or obtain valid TiPS certification upon employment (will provide training)
  • At least 3 years previous restaurant experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of restaurant supervisory or managerial experience
  • Must have fine dine experience as well as working knowledge of wine and beverage service
  • Must have demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be knowledgeable of property food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays including: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, December 26th through January 2nd, Presidents’ Day Weekend, and any other holidays as requested
  • Conversational Spanish
    The expected pay range is $56,485.00 - $66,056.71. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities
  • Must hold staff accountable to these standards, and work as a liaison between the dining room staff and the kitchen
  • Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, completing daily financial reports and records, preparing daily tip disbursements, scheduling, ordering products and equipment, payroll, inventory, and keeping daily manager logs
  • May act as manager in the absence of Restaurant Manager. Maintain facility standards for food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on dining operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities perform duties as assigned
