Description

Windsor Arms Hotel is looking to hire an experienced Fine Dining Server for our boutique restaurants. The ideal candidate must be hospitality driven with a passion for fine dining service. In this position, you will go above and beyond, ensuring that we deliver the highest standards in customer service to create a lasting and memorable experience to our dining patrons.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Greeting guests with a sincere and warm welcome
  • Seat the guest in their requested area ensuring to pull the chair for the ladies.
  • Provide the menu, wine list and any special event menu we may be offering.
  • Offer helpful information about our menu offerings.
  • Ready the restaurant before opening and closing shifts.
  • Prepare all tables, including linens, cutlery and appropriate glassware.
  • Ensure that linens are clean and neat with no creases or staining.
  • Inspect and ensure the flatware has been polished before placing it on the table.
  • Inspect and ensure the glassware has been polished and free of any spots or lip marks.
  • Ensure proper delivery of food and beverage Items, including proper Wine Service.
  • Follow up during service with guest to ensure we are meeting their expectations.
  • Obtain revenue at the end of service, ensuring proper point of sale practices, issue receipts, accepting payments, and returning change.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a minimum of 2 years fine dining experience
  • Must be of legal age and Smart Serve Certified.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal English communication is required.
  • Ability to accurately count cash and efficiently process credit card transactions using company systems is expected.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding and familiarity with food and beverage services, products and business processes
  • Able to work under pressure and meet the business needs.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Available to work outside regular business hours including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays when required.
  • Moderate physical effort required.
  • Handling of light and moderate weight objects, food and beverage, trays, wines, occasional chair and table movement for event set up.
  • Significant amount of standing or walking.
  • Bartending experience would be an asset
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
