Description Title: Finisher Division: Furniture General Purpose: Under limited supervision, operates finish equipment to apply powder coat finishes to parts and components while meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards. Understands the process of hang and de-hang. Essential Functions: Following Standard Work Instructions, operates powder coat controls and applies powder according to “Job Instruction”. Understands the principles of hang/de-hang process. Reads and interprets dimensions and other information from all types of drawings. Completes daily and necessary paperwork. Maintains a clean, safe working environment according to 5S and department safety guidelines. Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instruction, work documentation, policies, and practices, etc., which are written in the English language. Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), or equivalent work experience demonstrating performance competency required. Experience applying powder coat in a manufacturing environment. Flexibility to work varied hours as business needs require. Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting. Able to wear required PPE for extended periods: Hood, protective suit, etc. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
