Job Description As a Finishing Operator, you may be responsible for functions occurring within the Finishing operations that include packing, core cutting, and material handling, operating a slitter, or floating between any of these listed positions. In this role, you will work 2nd Shift, 2PM-10PM Mon-Fri. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities: Activities and duties may vary depending upon site-specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to supporting the following: Have current qualifications at the OTM III level at the time of bidding. Perform all duties associated with the OTM II and OTM III roles within the finishing center. Specific assignments and training plans will be assigned by the Supervisor depending on shift needs and may not include every asset. Float on a daily basis to fill vacant positions to ensure operation is able to run at scheduled capacity. Will serve as a trainer for other employees in the department. Must meet and maintain all training requirements (including trainer courses offered, positive trainer evaluations, and up to date qualifications on all equipment). Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience. Previous manufacturing experience preferred You will regard safety as a core value; serve as a role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures. You will need to have strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand root causes, then communicate / education team in a timely manner. You will need to be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests. You will be required to show proficiency with computer applications.
