About the role
Here at Balfour Beatty, our work inspires communities and advances society. Our commitment to sustainability looks even further – generations further. Join our Regional Civils team as a Finishing Foreman on our Apollo Substation project in Somerset.
As a Finishing Foreman you will have a build background and provide supervision of the works and control of a team comprising of Gangers and direct labour force. Supervision and control of the works of Subcontractors throughout the project duration.
What you’ll be doing

As a Finishing Foreman you will:

  • Provide supervision and coordinate the work team
  • Allocate daily responsibilities and communicate updates
  • Guarantee all safety and quality measures are met throughout the project
  • Input into the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works solution
  • Identify potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls
  • Monitor the performance of plant operators
  • Carry out Safety & Environment Tours.

Who we’re looking for

As a Finishing Foreman you will have:

  • Proven experience of working as a Foreman
  • Experience of Construction/New Build/ Fit Out related project
  • CSCS/SSTS/SMSTS Gold Card
  • Good health & Safety knowledge
  • Tier 1 experience would be beneficial
