SUMMARY Keep production equipment running efficiently and effectively by ensuring all machines are operating at peak performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage, investigate, repair and troubleshoot mechatronic systems of production equipment in Finishing department and dye house, with the aim of operational efficiency and cost and process control. Manage, investigate, repair and troubleshoot mechanical systems including electric motors, pneumatic and hydraulic controls of production equipment in finishing department and dye house, with the aim of operational efficiency and cost and process control. Inspects production equipment daily to ensure performance and safe operation. Strives to upgrade production equipment and maintains them at peak performance. Performs and tracks preventative maintenance on production equipment. Keeps production equipment clean. Maintain steam and compressed air lines, valves, tanks, actuators, etc. Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner; Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements. Other duties assigned by management are a part of this job description. Qualifications PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and meeting deadlines Ability to reflect positive attitude and disciplined work ethic Ability to work in a team or independently SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required. AAS Mechatronics Technology Degree preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY a thorough understanding of the electrical components, electric motors, and mechanical components in a mechatronics system. a thorough understanding of basic pneumatic, electro pneumatic and hydraulic control circuits in a mechatronics system. a thorough understanding of basic digital logic and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in a mechatronic system. ability to install, implement and modify software tools used in mechatronics systems. ability to use troubleshooting techniques, correct malfunctions, perform systematic preventive maintenance and apply safety rules with respect to electrical components, mechanical components, electric motors, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and PLCs used in a mechatronics system. Above average mechanical ability. Good communication and human relations skills. Self-motivated and able to work in team environment. Understand proper safety procedures & personal protective equipment needed for working around machines and using air hoses.
