Job Title: Packer The Finishing & Packing Associate is responsible for reviewing the Finishing Instructions section of the Job Spec Sheet to determine all packing requirements. This role ensures the correct materials and processes are used to prepare finished products for shipment. Responsibilities: Review the finishing instructions section of the Job Spec Sheet for packing requirements. Gather all packing materials for the active job to packing area (pallet, cartons, core plugs, bags, etc.) Construct small and large boxes and cartons to hold and ship finished products. Pack finished set of rolls into cartons with required packing materials as stated on specification sheet. Apply the correct tags and labels to products and cartons to identify and sort finished inventory. Transport completed and labeled skids ready to ship to the finished goods staging area. Ensure smooth operation and assist machine operators in gathering supplies. Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area/production zone. Related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school education or equivalent. Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required. Detail oriented and can focus for long periods of time. Ability to read and follow all specifications on the job specification sheet. Capable of working in a team environment and alone with a high sense of urgency. Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time. Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment. The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
