Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The FinOps Process and Compliance Manager will address governance gaps by developing and implementing governance frameworks and FinOps best practices (e.g., resource separation), design robust monitoring, ensure compliance, improve representation, and document processes to strengthen governance and adherence to standards within the FinOps team by and improving stakeholder collaboration on governance processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead development and implementation of FinOps frameworks and best practices.

  • Identify and address governance gaps within FinOps processes and processes that impact FinOps.
  • Design complex monitoring function on financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure stakeholder compliance through regular assessments with FinOps internal policies.
  • Ensure FinOps compliance with enterprise policies.
  • Document governance processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on FinOps best practices, standards and processes.
  • Improve representation and involvement of stakeholders in governance processes by collaborating with other departments to align governance practices across the organization.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in governance and compliance.

CUSTOMER

  • Build, oversee and manage diverse team of data / information management Analysts/Specialists and related operations and set team goals / objectives in alignment with overall Business strategies
  • Manage the team in driving out the technology strategic roadmap, including the introduction of big data technologies, advanced analytics, data modeling and other capabilities that will deliver meaningful data analytics
  • Oversee the delivery of data products in report / presentation format to specifications and timeline in alignment with overall business data governance/information management strategies
  • Responsible for ongoing data sourcing and management (e.g. quality assurance, analysis, and the production and distribution of Management Information)
  • Support technology leadership team in driving out the information excellence program and build technical and governance capability across all aspects of data analytics and modeling
  • Support technology leaders and champion for the ‘single view of the customer’ as well as ‘single view of the bank – One Bank’ in IT
  • Be accountable for building data management capabilities and leveraging it as a competitive advantage for TD
  • Build Information as a Service capability and implement the Information Excellence capabilities defined by Enterprise Architecture.
  • Make data consumption on-demand and transparent and provide fit for purpose services – reports, analytics, model and data
  • Significantly reduce the cost per consumption of data while improving quality
  • Build strong relationship with ITS, Architecture, TRMIS and work in partnership to develop leading edge technology solutions with a special focus in the Big Data space
  • Interface with technology teams supporting AML, Marketing, Fraud, Risk, Security and Compliance looking for opportunities to share/leverage enterprise data and integrate diverse data sources to enable big data analytics and enterprise level reporting
  • Oversee the data acquisition and analysis process and facilitate conversations in increasing efficiency and quality of data analytics delivery
  • Lead the efforts in integrating siloed, irregular and external data from TD systems and data warehouses to enable a consolidated view of customer information to drive behaviour and predictive analytics
  • Assess existing analytics tools and enhance existing analytical capabilities and quality of data to enable greater automation
  • Investigate new opportunities to create and develop more effective methodologies and processes for collecting, analyzing and presenting data
  • Actively consolidate and rationalize Corporate data stores
  • Optimize operational efficiencies by taking opportunities to reduce cost through process improvement, unit costs reduction and provide meaningful financial insight to the functional leader or CIO and manage the operational and department costs with a high degree of transparency

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in governance, compliance, financial operations, or a related role, preferably in a technology or cloud services environment.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience in designing and implementing monitoring functions for financial metrics and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in FinOps or cloud cost management.
