Description

DO YOU THRIVE IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT?

Are you looking for more than just your next job — a chance to grow into a leadership role and shape the future of a division? If your answer is yes, Community Fire Prevention Ltd (a division of Onyx-Fire) might be exactly where your next chapter begins.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A FIRE ALARM PROJECT MANAGER WITH THE DRIVE AND LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL TO GROW INTO OUR DIVISION MANAGER FOR THE FIRE ALARM PROJECTS DIVISION.

In this role, you’ll not only manage installation projects in Vancouver, BC and surrounding areas — you’ll be preparing to take the reins of the division in the future. We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable rolling up their sleeves to deliver successful projects as they are thinking big picture about people, processes, and operational excellence.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re not just looking for someone to run projects — we’re looking for a future leader. You have:

  • Ambition to advance into a Division Manager role within the Fire Alarm Projects division.
  • Leadership qualities — you inspire trust, can make decisions with confidence, and know how to bring people together to achieve results.
  • A big-picture mindset, with the ability to dive into operational details when needed.
  • Experience in, or a strong understanding of, company operations (field, office, and business management functions).

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma, Red Seal, GSC, PMP, or relevant trade/technical certification.
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience in Fire Protection, Industrial, Construction, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills — you can connect with field crews, office teams, and executives alike.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once in collaboration with superintendents and coordinators.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project) and the ability to create and maintain tracking systems.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate challenges and create solutions.
