The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of fire alarm codes, expertise in integrating fire alarm systems with building control systems, and a proven track record of collaborating with electrical contractors on new construction and tenant improvement projects. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage fire alarm installation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications. Interpret and ensure compliance with relevant fire alarm codes (e.g., NFPA 72, IBC, IFC) and local jurisdictional requirements. Oversee the integration of fire alarm systems with building control systems, including Smoke control, access control, and emergency communication systems. Collaborate with electrical contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution for new construction and tenant improvement projects in high-rise buildings. Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate system design and installation. Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and minimize costs. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety and code requirements. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports. Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fire alarm system installation and integration. Ensure all installations meet quality standards and pass inspections by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements 5+ years of experience in fire alarm system installation and project management, specifically in high-rise buildings. In-depth knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 72, UL, NEC). Proven experience integrating fire alarm systems with building control systems Demonstrated success partnering with electrical contractors on new construction and tenant improvement projects. Strong understanding of high-rise building construction processes and requirements. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar). Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed. Experience with major fire alarm system brands (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Simplex, Notifier). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
