Description Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Fire Alarm Salesperson to drive sales and business development for fire alarm inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations. This role combines office and field work and involves direct client engagement, lead generation, and managing the sales process from initial contact through project completion. The ideal candidate understands fire alarm systems, local codes, and the contracting environment, and excels at building long-term customer relationships. This position is well suited for an experienced fire alarm technician who is looking to transition into a sales and customer-facing role. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for fire alarm inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, property managers, and other key decision-makers Generate leads, prepare accurate proposals and quotes, and follow up to close sales Provide expert guidance on fire alarm system requirements, code compliance, and appropriate solutions Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and office staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and local market conditions Address customer questions and concerns throughout the sales and project lifecycle What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience. Requirements Qualifications Proven experience in fire alarm sales or fire alarm systems Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire alarm inspection requirements Familiarity with local AHJ permitting processes and the local contracting market Current F365 F Fire Alarm Protective Signaling System License Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and programs such as Service Trade or BuildOps Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel locally as needed Compensation This position offers a competitive salary with commission opportunities based on performance. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, or stoop for extended periods. Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Lift and transport objects up to 70 pounds safely. Work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors.
