SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.
  • Strong technical knowledge of addressable and conventional fire alarm panels.
  • Experience with emergency lighting systems.
  • Fire extinguisher servicing experience (desirable, not essential).
  • Ability to work independently across a wide geographical area.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team on a 3-month rolling contract with strong extension potential. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and fault-finding on fire alarm panels and emergency lighting systems across sites spanning from Scotland’s central belt down to Cumbria.
Experience with fire extinguishers would be a distinct advantage, though not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer seeking a flexible outside IR35 contract, with weekly pay and strong potential for extension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.
  • Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of fire panels.
  • Complete accurate service reports and compliance documentation.
  • Deliver works in line with BS 5839, BS 5266, and relevant fire safety standards.
  • Work independently across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • (Bonus) Service and maintain fire extinguishers where required.
