Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in fire alarm system design, engineering, or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA standards (especially NFPA 72), IBC, IFC, and other relevant codes
  • Experience with CAD/BIM software and fire alarm design tools
  • Strong understanding of fire detection, signaling, and control systems
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project coordination skills
  • Certifications such as NICET (Fire Alarm Systems Level II or higher) or equivalent preferred

    Pay: AED3,200.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Design and engineer fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings in accordance with NFPA codes, local fire codes, and client requirements.

Responsibilities
  • System Design & Engineering:

Design and engineer fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings in accordance with NFPA codes, local fire codes, and client requirements.

  • Code Compliance & Safety Reviews:

Ensure that all fire alarm systems and related installations meet local, state, and federal fire codes and standards.

  • Coordination & Consultation:

Work collaboratively with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, contractors, and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to integrate fire alarm systems within overall building designs.

  • Testing & Commissioning:

Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance. Document findings and provide corrective recommendations as needed.

  • Site Evaluation & Upgrades:

Evaluate existing buildings and systems for fire safety and recommend system upgrades or modifications to enhance protection.

  • Emergency Response Planning:

Support emergency planning efforts by coordinating with fire departments and emergency responders to ensure systems are aligned with response strategies.

  • Technology & Innovation:

Stay up-to-date with advancements in fire detection and alarm technologies. Evaluate and implement new solutions to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare detailed engineering reports, design drawings, system calculations, and technical documentation for submission and approval.
