FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN – FULL TIME

Novant Health is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. In this vital role, you will support our life safety program by assisting with regulatory testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and related equipment across Novant Health facilities.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year experience working with fire detection and signaling systems, required. Healthcare experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) level I minimum, required. National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) level II required within 90 days of hire, required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regulatory-required testing and maintenance on fire alarm systems
• Work under the direction of the Fire Alarm Technician Sr.
• Ensure life safety systems are fully operational and compliant with applicable codes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all inspections and repairs
• Support safety for all patients, visitors, and team members within the facility
• Collaborate effectively with a team of technicians across multiple sites
