Job Summary The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, as well as ensuring that it meets safety and quality standards. Responsibilities · Familiarity with fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance systems required. · Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment and systems to ensure proper · functioning. · Identify and troubleshoot issues or malfunctions in equipment and systems. · Repair or replace faulty components, parts, or systems. · Conduct tests and calibrations to verify equipment performance and accuracy. · Install, assemble, and dismantle equipment and systems as required. · Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. · Document all maintenance and repair activities, including the use of computerized maintenance · management systems (CMMS). · Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve technical issues. · Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and technologies to provide effective solutions. · Provide technical support and assistance to customers or end-users. · Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina. · Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations. · Ability to handle multiple projects at once, switching between various tasks quickly. · Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. · High school diploma or equivalent; required. · Technical certification or associate degree in a related field; preferred. · Strong knowledge of technical systems, equipment, and tools. · Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
