Job Summary The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, as well as ensuring that it meets safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Familiarity with fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance systems required. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning. Identify and troubleshoot issues or malfunctions in equipment and systems. Repair or replace faulty components, parts, or systems. Conduct tests and calibrations to verify equipment performance and accuracy. Install, assemble, and dismantle equipment and systems as required. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Document all maintenance and repair activities, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve technical issues. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and technologies to provide effective solutions. Provide technical support and assistance to customers or end-users. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements Must have active Fire Alarm License (FAL) for the state of Texas Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina. Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations. Ability to handle multiple projects at once, switching between various tasks quickly. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. High school diploma or equivalent; required. Technical certification or associate degree in a related field; preferred. Strong knowledge of technical systems, equipment, and tools. Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
