Check Fire + Security Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced fire alarm and security system design and estimating Engineer to provide comprehensive support for our Design, Estimates and Business Development team, working with clients and engineers to provide compliant designs in line with current British Standards and issue quotations accordingly in Fire & Life Safety systems and Security systems

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred

Experience:

• Fire & Security Design and/or Estimating: 3 years (required

• Reviewing technical specifications and tender documents and understanding clients’ requirements.
• Completing design take-offs and producing a schedule of quantities.
• Completing initial designs based on a technical specification.
• Producing design drawings and schematics.
• Completing design calculations and presenting technical information.
• Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers for technical data and pricing.
• Populating quotations with technical information and costs.
• Researching suitable components/systems and checking for compatibility.
• Producing technical content to support proposals and bids.
• Write tendering and supporting documentation for quoted projects.
• Liaising with clients for information relating to the project tendering.
• Liaise between sales team and general management.
• Have the ability to talk to clients in depth of the system and equipment being offered in tender and attend meetings if required.
• Acting as a point of contact for customers, clients or suppliers via email, over the phone or in person.
• Responding to questions and requests for information.
• To undertake any additional duties at the request of your line manager, which is deemed to be within your competency.

  Pay: £32,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
