REQUIREMENTS

  • A proven background in the Fire & Security industry (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to fault-find under pressure.
  • Experience with first and second fix containment (trunking, conduit – PVC & galvanised).
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass DBS and security clearance checks.
  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, while also contributing effectively within a team.
  • Physically capable of carrying, lifting, and climbing ladders, and using both hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering our services across a wide range of commercial and residential sites in South Wales. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a professional approach when working both independently and as part of a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, maintain, and commission a variety of fire and security systems to industry standards.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs.
  • Conduct fault-finding, diagnosing issues quickly and effectively.
  • Perform both first fix and second fix works, including containment, cabling, and system wiring.
  • Work across diverse client sites in South Wales, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Provide clear communication with clients, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Complete necessary documentation, reports, and certification accurately.
