OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Door Joiner to join our team on a 58-week project carrying out Fire Door Remediation and Installation within residential apartment blocks. This is a long-term position offering consistent work, with the potential for further opportunities on future projects nationwide.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in Fire Door Installation and Remediation.
• Valid CSCS card.
• NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds Certification in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of BM Trada / FIRAS standards (preferred).
• Own tools, including cordless power tools, and reliable transport.
• Ability to use QA applications such as Bolster Systems (or similar).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fire door installation and remediation.

• Install and remediation of FD30 / FD60 fire doors to meet BM Trada standards.
• Install fire-rated door ironmongery, closing devices, and signage.
• Complete and maintain accurate QA records (knowledge of Bolster Systems or similar is required).
• Understand FRA works, Fire Strategies, and Fire Door Reports.
• Carry out 1st Fix and 2nd Fix joinery when required.
• Work effectively within a team of other Fire Door Joiners and the BM Trada Joinery Supervisor.
• Maintain a tidy work area at all times.
• Maintain professionalism when engaging with the on-site management team and building residents.
• Perform lifting during installation and remediation of fire doors.
