Are you ready to take the next step in your fire safety career? Luton Council is looking for an experienced Fire Door Qualification Supervisor to join our committed Property & Construction team. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on the safety and wellbeing of Luton’s residents.
We’re seeking a proactive, skilled professional to lead the delivery of fire door installation and maintenance works, ensuring projects are completed on time, to budget, and to the highest safety standards. You’ll manage a team of up to 20 operatives, coordinate resources, and deliver a responsive and compliant service across a range of housing and public buildings.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise fire door projects from planning through to completion
  • Allocate labour and materials effectively using Schedule of Rates and specifications
  • Produce accurate reports, estimates, technical drawings, and compliance documentation
  • Interpret written requests, construction drawings and provide technical guidance
  • Ensure works comply with CDM 2015 regulations and health & safety standards
  • Identify and implement solutions to technical and operational problems
  • Maintain respectful and professional communication with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Attend emergency callouts, meetings and inspections as required – including evenings/weekends

A PERSON’S CRIMINAL RECORD WILL NOT IN ITSELF PREVENT A PERSON FROM BEING APPOINTED TO THIS POST. APPLICANTS WILL NOT BE REFUSED POSTS BECAUSE OF OFFENCES WHICH ARE NOT RELEVANT TO, AND DO NOT PLACE THEM AT OR MAKE THEM A RISK IN, THE ROLE FOR WHICH THEY ARE APPLYING.
