JOB DESCRIPTION

Our company needs a maintenance engineer in firefighting & fire alarm with 4 years of experience in the U.A.E. or a GCC country in the same field.
The applicant should have a U.A.E. driving license.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or fire protection engineering (or related field).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in fire system installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Certifications: Civil Defense approval (if applicable), NFPA training, or equivalent fire safety certification preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, suppression systems, fire pumps, and emergency lighting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, UAE Civil Defense, or equivalent international standards.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire detection, alarm, sprinkler, hydrant, suppression, and emergency lighting systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in fire equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspection & Testing
  • Conduct routine inspections of fire systems and equipment in accordance with NFPA, Civil Defense, and local authority requirements.
  • Test fire alarms, sprinklers, fire pumps, and other systems to verify operational readiness.
  • Maintain detailed inspection and testing reports.
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all fire protection systems meet local legal, safety, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, work performed, and inspection reports for audit purposes.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate with internal departments, building management, and external vendors to schedule maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other staff on fire safety systems.
  • Emergency Response
  • Assist in fire emergency drills and provide support in case of actual fire incidents.
  • Ensure all fire safety equipment is ready for immediate use.
