Valiant is looking for a Fire Marker to join our team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Produce realistic Battlefield Effects using simulators, training devices and pyrotechnics without assistance in a safe, accurate and timely manner. * Operate and maintain all assigned equipment to prescribed standards to include operation of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV). * Must train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System. * Work during both daylight hours and during periods of limited visibility while using (NVGs) Night Vision Goggles, * Work under all weather conditions and in a wide variety of terrain. * Follow all instructions from Shift Leader and perform tasks in compliance with all applicable corporate and local regulations, policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned consistent with mission requirements and occupational specialty. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Must be capable of completing safety certification program prior to performing duties. DESIRED EXPERIENCE: * Experience reading military maps and in military radio-telephone procedures. * Class “D’ driver’s license. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to multi-task and work independently when needed. * Must train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System. * Must become proficient in military communications procedures. * Must be available to work flexible shifts outdoors and react quickly to schedule changes. * Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries. * Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening and will be subject to random drug screening. * Must possess a valid Louisiana State Driver’s License (or equivalent). * Employment contingent upon favorable company background investigation. * Will have to acquire a post access card. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be in good physical condition and capable of rapid cross-country movement on foot over varied terrain for a distance of 2km while carrying a 20-pound pack in 20 minutes. * Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds. * Must be able to throw pyrotechnic a minimum of 20 meters.
