We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Fire Protection/Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This critical role involves researching, developing, and producing mechanical construction drawings while applying expertise in industry concepts, practices, and procedures, with potential consultation on complex projects. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and driven individual with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, effectiveness, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
Experience: 8+ years as a licensed professional engineer
Computer Skills: Revit, AutoCAD MEP, MS Office Suite, Trane TOPSS, Trace 3D
Travel: up to 20% depending on project

Responsibilities
  • Design fire protection and plumbing systems (e.g., sprinkler layouts, fire pump sizing, piping, sanitary, medical gas, domestic water heating, ductwork).
  • Perform system calculations, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and equipment selections.
  • Develop construction documents and job-specific specifications.
  • Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction inspections.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record and mentor junior staff.
  • Ensure compliance with codes such as NFPA, ASHRAE, and IBC.
  • High proficiency in computer-aided design tools and software.
