FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical fire fighting and fire alarm systems and a solid understanding of relevant safety codes and regulations.

JOB SUMMARY

You will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire fighting and fire alarm systems. This role requires on-site management, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and project specifications. You will coordinate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience in the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of fire fighting and fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of relevant standards such as NFPA, BS, and UAE Civil Defense codes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Other:
  • A valid UAE driving license or Civil Defense Card is preferred.
  • Strong command of both written and spoken English is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of fire fighting and fire alarm systems.
  • Ensure all work adheres to approved drawings, project specifications, and local regulations (e.g., NFPA, Civil Defense).
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams for timely project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Manage labor and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
  • Prepare and submit regular site progress reports to the project manager.
  • Enforce safety protocols on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Attend project meetings and inspections as required by the project scope.
