THE OPPORTUNITY

To support our existing portfolio of projects, we are looking for a Fire Safety Engineer to join our Infrastructure Buildings and Defence national team. You will contribute to and assist on projects Australia-wide.
In this position you will be responsible for assisting and developing fire safety engineering design solutions across buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure projects under the support and guidance of senior management and engineers, The role will also interface closely with fire protection engineering and other disciplines within KBR and externally as required.

Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of the BCA and fire safety engineering processes in Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and manage design work and engineering tasks
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Ability to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modelling
