Job Summary: The Fire Protection Division Manager will meet planned growth, profit, maintenance base and customer retention goals through leadership and management of staff. This position will strive to exceed customer expectations by satisfying their needs in a timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manner. Responsible for achievement of corporate objectives at the departmental level. Responsibilities:  * Plan, organize and staff key office and field positions to support overall department goals and objectives. Direct and coordinate project teams, including office and field staff in conjunction with other team members * Schedule, assign, and direct the work of office department staff. This includes hiring, motivating and coaching, training, disciplinary action, performance reviews and compensation decisions * Determines scope of department work activities or projects, job objectives, schedules, budget considerations, and personnel assignments.  Review and monitor department status and progress * Develops standards and procedures for the department. Monitors overall quantity and quality of work performed. * Build and maintain successful and sustained relationships and communication with clients, field and office employees, as well as company Executives and peers * Maintain positive financial posture for the department. This includes tracking project costs, preparing project cost reports and other related project documentation  * Proficient in Fire Alarm estimating and project management * Understand customer organization and decision-making process to effectively participate in strategy development and presentation. * Train, direct, and evaluate staff to resolve customer complaints promptly and efficiently. Participate with other unit personnel in resolution of customer complaints where necessary. * Lead quality assurance efforts that result in service agreement renewal Desired Qualifications:  * Bachelor’s Degree in technical/business or equivalent work experience * Fire Alarm Design experience  * NICET Certified in Fire Alarm/Special Hazard Systems  * Extensive experience in field operations * Ability to analyze P&L’s *  Fire Protection Knowledge  *  Experience with Commercial Management   Job Requirements:    * Ability to work cooperatively with employees at all levels of the organization  *  Ability to be prompt and courteous when interacting with co-workers and Clients  *  Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously  * Support the training and development of direct reports and division staff *  Lead by example when adhering to company safety practices and procedures  *  Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)  *  Excellent written and oral communication skills  *  Exceptional organizational and time management skills  *  Valid driver’s license    ABOUT SOBIESKI LIFE SAFETY Sobieski Life Safety, a division of J.F.
