Job Title: Fire Risk Consultant
Department: Compliance & RFM Trading Manchester / Liverppol
Reporting to: CEO

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate, Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fire safety, risk assessment, or a related compliance role.
  • Experience in HMO property management fire safety compliance is highly desirable.
  • Being a member of IOSH / IFE / IFSM / IFPO would be beneficial to the role.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, HMO licensing, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to conduct detailed fire risk assessments and develop fire management plans.
  • Experience using fire safety software and compliance tracking tools.
  • Strong report writing skills for documenting risk assessments and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

The Fire Risk Consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations across The Mistoria Group’s entire property portfolio, including both company-owned and externally managed HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation). The role involves conducting fire risk assessments, advising on fire prevention strategies, overseeing the implementation of safety measures, and ensuring adherence to all legal fire safety requirements. The consultant will work closely with the RFM (Repairs, Facilities & Maintenance) team to implement fire safety improvements and ensure ongoing compliance.
