You will be proficient in the use of appropriate management systems, particularly in work management, action tracking, engineering change, and controlled documents.

Familiarity with key site services such as water, steam, gas, oil, chemicals, and electrical systems is essential.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will ensure that fire safety policies and procedures meet relevant requirements, by supporting the corporate team with their development. You will provide oversight of the station’s fire detection, suppression, fire barriers, emergency lighting, and fire warning systems, working with the relevant members of engineering to ensure they remain effective and fit for purpose, as well as oversee hot working and evacuation procedures. Your role will involve ensuring all fire risk assessments are completed and reviewed in line with regulations, championing the efficient close out of any FRA recommendation identified through the station’s Continuous Improvement Programme.
You will collaborate and work with all departments, providing advice and safety knowledge. Your oversight of fire safety activities will ensure regular and comprehensive auditing is completed, maintaining the highest standards of fire safety across the site.
