JOB SUMMARY
Coordinate components of the Fire Safety Program across Georgia Tech properties, including statewide research and extension facilities. Evaluate new construction and renovation plans for compliance with safety codes and state laws. Oversee plan review and permitting program. Administer contracts related to the maintenance and installation of safety equipment. Coordinate fire emergency operations with local firefighting agencies. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Fire Marshal, Facilities and Capital Planning staff and management, all campus departments, and local and state firefighting agencies. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The job requires one who is task and detail toiiveted; flexible, and able to perform multiple, various tasks concurrivetly. Excellivet communications skills are required as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems that are varied Co nature.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Four to five years of job related experience

Certified Fire Protection Specialist Preferred skills include related knowledge of a higher education environment
