We’re at a stage of the business where it’s time to take the next step, and we’re looking for an experienced Fire Safety & H&S Consultant who is ready to take the lead, influence industry standards, and look at the long term of both your career and the company.

WHO YOU ARE (SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Fire Risk qualification, NEBOSH or equivalent (essential).
  • 2+ years’ experience in Fire Risk Assessments, to Level 3 minimum, and Fire Door Inspections – You need to be confident in your ability to assess and advise.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, compliance, and best practices (a sound understanding of property and construction processes would help too!)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - you’ll be working closely with clients and colleagues.
  • Driven to make sure all the little details are noticed, we much prefer a methodical approach the ensure the work is completed right, the first time.
  • An interest in technology and creating solutions with it.
  • A mindset for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership qualities, you want to progress within your career and help others to grow within the team.
  • Processes driven, you’ll have responsibility for building the Fire and Health and Safety department within the business.
  • A commercial mindset with a knack for finding opportunities.
  • (Desirable) - Health & Safety qualifications - If you have them, great! If not, we can discuss development opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Carrying out Level 3 Fire Risk Assessments, including compartmentation surveys, across a range of sectors following relevant legislations and standards.
  • Conducting Fire Door Inspections, identifying risks, and advising on corrective actions.
  • Working closely with clients, giving expert advice, actionable solutions and great customer service.
  • Offering advice on designing and constructing systems that improve fire safety in buildings.
  • Helping to implement new inspection and reporting software and then using this for site surveys, reporting and client portal/dashboard
  • Taking ownership of fire safety consultancy, helping develop and refine our service offering.
  • (If qualified) Conducting building H&S Audits—an opportunity to broaden your skills beyond Fire (if you haven’t already!)
  • Keeping ahead of industry changes, legislation, and best practices.
