Property & Asset Management SME – Fire and Safety South Objective of the role: o Manages Regional Fire and Safety to focus on the following benchmark pillars while they perform their assigned goals – § Brand § Clients § People and Values § Platform Key Responsibilities: Fire Safety Compliance Ensure all properties in the region comply with local and national fire safety regulations and escalate the same the stake holders for criticality Conduct regular fire safety audits across all managed properties Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures aligned with best practices Emergency Preparedness Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for all properties Conduct regular fire drills and evacuation exercises across the region Ensure all properties have up-to-date emergency equipment and signage Risk Assessment and Mitigation Perform thorough fire and safety risk assessments for all properties Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies Develop and maintain a regional risk register for fire and safety issues Training and Awareness Design and deliver fire safety training programs for property management staff and tenants Conduct awareness campaigns to promote fire safety culture across properties Ensure all relevant personnel are certified in required fire safety competencies Incident Investigation and Reporting Lead investigations into fire and safety incidents within the region Analyze incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement Prepare comprehensive incident reports and recommend preventive measures Fire Protection Systems Management Oversee the maintenance and testing of all fire protection systems Ensure timely upgrades and replacements of fire safety equipment Implement new fire protection technologies to enhance safety measures Regulatory Liaison Maintain relationships with local fire departments and regulatory bodies Represent the company in interactions with fire safety authorities Stay informed about changes in fire safety regulations and standards Documentation and Record Keeping Maintain accurate and up-to-date fire safety documentation for all properties Ensure proper record-keeping of all fire safety inspections, tests, and certifications Develop and maintain a centralized system for fire safety documentation Continuous Improvement Identify and implement best practices in fire and safety management Benchmark regional fire safety performance against industry standards Drive continuous improvement in fire safety processes and procedures Technology Integration Evaluate and implement fire safety technologies and software Ensure integration of fire safety systems with building management systems Leverage data analytics for predictive fire safety management Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Maintenance) to ensure integrated safety management Provide fire safety expertise for new property developments and renovations Support business development with fire safety insights for proposals and tenders Reporting and Analytics Develop comprehensive fire safety performance metrics and KPIs Create and maintain regional dashboards for fire safety performance Provide regular reports to senior management on fire safety status and initiatives Crisis Management Develop and maintain crisis management plans related to fire and safety Lead the fire safety aspects of the regional crisis management team Ensure business continuity plans incorporate fire safety considerations Sustainability Integration Align fire safety initiatives with sustainability goals Implement eco-friendly fire safety solutions where possible Contribute to ESG reporting on fire safety and risk management aspects Stakeholder Communication Develop and implement effective communication strategies for fire safety Provide regular updates to property owners and tenants on fire safety matters Manage stakeholder expectations during fire safety improvement projects These KRAs encompass the key responsibilities of a Regional Fire and Safety Manager in Property Management Services.
