Description

Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our team as a Service Technician for Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems (VFSS) in Thunder Bay, ON.
Main Responsibilities

Your role will include diverse maintenance and repair activities including:

  • Inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance of vehicle fire suppression systems and other types of Fire & Life Safety Equipment at various customer sites
  • Conducting life safety inspections and audits, with value-add suggestions for follow-up and maintenance
  • Performing site-specific training for owners and end users
  • Occasional overnight / extended travel to customer sites
  • Being the Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers and their onsite safety needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment
  • Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
  • Previous experience working with fire suppression systems is a strong asset
  • Comfortable working in underground mining operations
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Prior customer service experience and great communication skills
  • Able to work with technology and mobile devices
