POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Assist with installation, service, repair & inspection of fire sprinkler systems under direct supervision
  • Position is expected to bill a minimum of 40 hours per week on projects, with typical hours from 8am to 5pm with a one-hour lunch. The start and stop times of your workday may be altered by your Supervisor

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES (GENERAL):

  • Assist with threading pipe, cutting rod, reading blueprints, assisting foreman with hanging pipe, cleaning work area and equipment
  • Assist with installation, repair and maintenance of all types of fixed extinguishing systems, including underground piping
  • Assist with installing and servicing a variety of fire protection equipment such as standpipes, wet pipe systems, dry pipe systems, pre-action systems and foam systems

JOB DUTIES (SPECIFIC):

  • Check in with your Supervisor when you arrive on-site site
  • Perform tasks throughout the day assigned to you by your Supervisor
  • Clean up your work area at the end of the day
  • At the end of day, input your hours into Caruth’s online portal
